🤷🏼What is Semi-Permanent Makeup?
Answer: I don’t know, there is no such thing.... Please before you decide I’m crazy keep reading!
All Permanent Makeup, Microblading or Tattooing is considered Permanent. The term Semi-Permanent in my opinion, is a marketing ploy. Unfortunately, it used by so many in the industry.
Some tell clients that the pigment is being deposited only into the lower EPIDERMIS... 🤦🏼♀ This is false information. It is also a sign that that technician either lacks the critical knowledge of the skin needed for this career. OR, it is someone who is not licensed to treat anything other then the Epidermis. For example, in Oklahoma Esthetician’s and Cosmetologists may not treat any skin deeper then the epidermis, also know as the layer of dead skin cells. Due to being licensed as an Esthetician and in Medical Micropigmentation.... I am fully aware of the differences in the certifications and licensing. In Fact, they are overseen by separate boards/entities all together. 👍🏻
💯 For any pigment to retain the pigment or ink must be deposed below the epidermis into the dermis.
There will be a future post of fading and why Color Boost Appointment’s are needed. ❤️
